Dry cleaning can be a hassle. It’s expensive, it can take a long time, and it isn’t very good for the environment. Unfortunately there aren’t that many alternatives, but luckily the folks at Whirlpool and Tide have come up with a machine that solves all these problems.

Named the Swash, the system helps save your dry cleaning problems in three ways: First of all it saves time by helping garments look their best under 10 minutes. Second of all, it cuts your dry cleaning costs down by about 50 percent. Third of all, it saves your clothes by preventing dyes from fading and fabrics from pilling. White, blue and orange lights count down cycle completions and also alert you in case anything goes wrong. In addition, it’s nice and compact, so for those of you who don’t live in compact apartments, there’s plenty of room to store Swash, which can fit right into your closet. And, you don’t need any complicated water pipes, just a standard outlet.

In those 10 minutes, it removes wrinkles, neutralizes odors, and restores the fit of your clothes, returning them to the condition that you bought them in. How about that? You may never have to go to the dry cleaner again.

Still not sure about it? Swash only costs $500, and if that investment is too high, they’re giving a 45-day risk-free trial.

We have to say, with all the delicate clothes in our wardrobe and the nuisance of ironing and dry cleaning, Swash just might be a god send.

Should you remove the cellophane from your cigars in the humidor?
To remove the cellophane, or not to remove, that is the question.
Davidoff Escurio and Aniversario cigars up close by Briley Kenney from The Manual

Most cigars ship either in a box or in an actual bundle, but they're also usually individually wrapped in cellophane. That extra wrapping protects the cigar, especially during the retail and shipping processes. If one falls on the floor or is dropped, the cellophane keeps it clean.

But at home, the cellophane seems like overkill, doesn't it? especially if you're already storing the cigars inside the box and that's going in your humidor. What about if you take them out of the box for more storage room? Should you remove the cellophane from your cigars or leave it on? The answer isn't exactly clear because it's a matter of preference, but I recommend leaving the cellophane on—let's discuss.
