After the summer heat, fall brings refreshment with cool air and an abundance of foliage. As one season blends into another, leaves turn from green to yellow, orange, burgundy, and red, converting a monotone forest into a kaleidoscope of color. But for the best views, you need to travel.

This autumn, American Airlines flies to sought-after leaf-peeping destinations in New England, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, and more. American’s bookings to fall foliage destinations are up by 11% compared to last year — here are the destinations driving that growth.

The types of travelers going leaf-peeping on American Airlines

According to American Airlines, millennials and Gen Z comprise 40% of reservations for fall foliage destinations. Gen Z passengers favor the Northeast, like New York and Boston, while Millennials prefer the Rocky Mountains’ 10,000 ft peaks. American further identified several traveler types and their preferred fall getaways.

Couples are taking couple-cations to Portland, Maine, and Jackson, Wyoming. Solo travelers like the West, like Spokane and Denver. Families like Boston and New York for a balance of big city excitement and countryside foliage.

The Northeast mixes small town charm with vibrant fall colors, and American has several options to get there, including Boston (BOS), Burlington, Vermont (BTV), New York (ALB), New York City (LGA), and New Hampshire (MHT).

Those seeking the high-altitude scenery in Colorado can fly into Denver (DEN), Vail (EGE), or Aspen (ASE). Additional Western options include Bozeman, Montana (BZN), and Jackson Hole, Wyoming (JAC).

For access to the Pacific Northwest’s maples and evergreens, travelers can book flights to Seattle (SEA) and Portland (PDX). Those who want to spend the day among the forests on the Blue Ridge Parkway can book travel to Roanoke, Virginia (ROA) or Asheville, NC (AVL).

London has no shortage of rooftop bars. Florattica still stands out
This East London rooftop bar proves you don't need to be 50 floors up to impress
Bar, Person, Candle

London does not need another rooftop bar. The city has them stacked on top of skyscrapers, tucked behind hotel lobbies, and squeezed onto buildings where you'd swear there isn't room for a bar, let alone a view. So when a new one claims to be worth your evening, it has some convincing to do.

Florattica, perched on the 11th floor of Canopy by Hilton London City, did the convincing. It just recently picked up its first PIN from The Pinnacle Guide, and after a night spent working through its cocktail menu (slowly, responsibly, mostly), it's easy to see why.
