While both vacation homes at Dovecote are stunning, The Range is a more intimate getaway, sleeping just two to four guests, rather than The Headland’s spacious eight-guest, four-bedroom layout.
Outside, The Range is a simple structure, clad all in black steel. Partially set into a small hill, the holiday home looks out to the farmland and mountains to the north, while at the back, you get views of the ocean in the east. A massive wooden deck and and plunge pool allow you to look out to the water while enjoying the soft ocean breezes.
Inside, The Range is a well-appointed, carefully-styled masculine space we would love to call home. Warm wood covers the walls and vaulted ceilings, contrasted by cool concrete floors. The open-plan layout includes a minimalist kitchen with gray cabinetry, a Scandinavian style dining table, and a living area decked out in contemporary furnishings. A ceiling-mounted fireplace in the seating area offers warmth on cool nights and is positioned in front of a wall of glass. Exterior copper louvers on the wall can be moved to open up the view out to the water or closed to provide a bit of privacy (not that you need it with no one else around).
The luxury accommodations don’t end there. Sliding walls of glass turn the dining area into an open-air room. The beds are made up with premium linens and black leather headboards. To truly relax, you can enjoy a glass of complimentary local wine while taking in views of the water from the massive soaking tub in the spa-like bathroom. Go ahead, add some bubble bath, we won’t tell anyone.
A stay at The Range is a chance to escape it all and experience true luxury while surrounded by Australia’s stunning countryside. Away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney, The Range offers a chance to fully unwind.
