For the man who isn’t content to measure his fitness progress with a smartwatch, smart scale, and good old-fashioned measuring tape and needs more precise, immediate data, Naked Labs’ flagship product, Naked, a 3D body scanner designed for in-home use, is his solution.

Including a full-length, 3D-scanning smart mirror and connected rotating scale, along with a mobile app, Naked easily tracks a user’s body’s changes over time, whether from one day to the next, month to month, or even hourly. Using a core technology composed of Wi-Fi/Bluetooth-enabled smart mirror and a 3 Intel RealSense depth sensor, Naked creates the unique 3D body scan with the help of a scale that rotates a full 360 degrees in just 15 seconds. Once scanned, users head to the Naked app to review a whole suite of data, including body fat percentage, lean mass versus fat mass, circumferences, side-by-side comparison, and graphs of historical data to allow you to meaningfully and quickly measure fitness progress.

“We are pleased to provide Naked Labs with Intel RealSense technology,” said Sagi BenMoshe, vice president and general manager of the Intel RealSense Group. “This is a great example of how we are enabling our customers to build products that enrich people’s lives through devices and machines that perceived the world in 3D.

Welcome to the future, kids.

And, unlike your friends, relatives, or your own visual judgment, Naked smart mirror doesn’t lie. According to Naked Labs, the mirror’s 3D body scans “show progress faster than anything else, keeping users motivated and accountable. Democratizing this information — previously available only in gyms and medical facilities — empowers the individual to take control of his own body story.”

The way folks control their own body story is in a future where everything, from clothing to fitness to nutrition, is influenced and determined by your body’s 3D scan.

“Today, people are searching for evidence-based methods to track health and fitness that aren’t solely focused on weight. We are excited to get Naked into people’s home to give them better insight into exactly what’s going on in their body and help them work towards their goals,” said Naked Labs co-founder and CEO, Farhad Farahbakhshian.

Naked smart mirror and 3D Fitness Tracker is currently available in the U.S. for $1,395 at Naked Labs’ official site with a 30-day risk free trial. If, after a couple weeks, you think the whole thing’s bogus, at least you’ll get your money back. New orders will be shipped in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Man choosing clothes at his walk-in closet

Like personal finance or basic kitchen skills, organizing your closet isn’t something that gets taught anymore. Now is the perfect time to refresh your drawers and cabinets for a fresh new season. If you’re like most guys, your parents (i.e., your mom) did this for you while you were growing up, sneaking into your bedroom while you were out to collect your sh** from off the floor and put it back into your closet and drawers where it belonged.

Focusing on something you can control — the clutter in your closet — is a rare treat. Organizing your closet is an undeniably good use of free time, and it will make it easier to find items you're looking for.
