The Future Perfect Launches Casa Perfect, a Retail Space Located in a Modernist Home.

Have you ever heard of Future Perfect? If so, then you know that it’s a prominent art and design gallery. If not, then let us tell you about it. David Alhadeff founded Future Perfect — which has locations in Manhattan and San Francisco — in 2003, and the gallery features works by both established and emerging designers. Alhadeff realized that Los Angeles was the perfect market for his business, so he recently opened Casa Perfect.

Rather than opening a space in a storefront on Melrose or in DTLA, Alhadeff elected to do something a little different. He found a mid-century home in the West Hollywood Hills, and decided to call it Casa Perfect. Korean-American architect David Hyun created plans for the 3,000-square-foot home in 1957. His design features an open floor plan, with four bedrooms, a lot of outdoor space, and amazing views of Los Angeles.

“I have long had a love affair with L.A., and have been waiting for the right opportunity to open in this exciting city,” said Alhadeff. “When I found the house in the hills, I knew that we could create something beyond retail, and give our clients an experience unique to The Future Perfect, but distinctly L.A.”

For its debut, Casa Perfect is showing a collaboration between Commune and jewelry designer Lisa Eisner, who created a collection of solid brass hardware that adorns several pieces in the house. A cushion collection by Commune in collaboration with textile designer Adam Pogue, as well as Commune’s latest collection of bedding for Hamburg House is also on display. Christian Woo designed a new collection of outdoor furniture that sits in the patio, and ceramicist Eric Roinestad has a variety of new stoneware, vessels and lighting on display.

There’s also work from Casa Perfect’s roster by the likes of  Lindsey Adelman, De La Espada, Michael Anastasiades, Bec Brittain, Calico Wallpaper, Piet Hein Eek, Dimore Studio, Pinch, Roll & Hill, Kasthall Carpets, Lex Pott, Christopher Stuart and more.
