Answer to question one: Yes, this does shoot further than the Maverick. In comparison, it shoots as far as the Strongarm, the Elite upgrade to the Maverick. Answer to question 2: The darts load from the side. I find it to fit a little more comfortably than placing the darts in than the Strongarm (without releasing the cylinder).

does this shoot farther than the NERF Maverick? Also where you put the bullets in do the bullets sometimes get stuck there while firing?

I love nerf, they make some of the coolest blasters and toy guns for a really decent price.

Before I begin my review, bare in mind that I will be considering the blaster and its components unaltered and unmodified.
     Initial thoughts: Let's be real- this blaster is a gimmick. It is like ice cream, it doesn't have any value to offer, but it is sweet. It fires the same amount of darts as the Disruptor or the Strongarm, but with way more unnecessary body. It doesn't shoot the darts any harder or further either. However, it is pump action. I like this feature better than priming from the top. It's slam-firing capable. The darts do not fire any better or worse than the typical dark blue elite darts. I like the color scheme.
      Keep this in mind, it has the capacity of a secondary blaster, but has the size of a primary blaster. This can be a turn-off for the more hardcore enthusiasts.
    Conclusion: If you can get this blaster for cheap, it can be a fun medium sized blaster. Not for everyone, but I like it.

It looks cool like a shotgun. Im surprised its projectile is weaker than the n-strike elite strongarm pistol. Anyways, it still looks like a shotgun
