Yes, you simply remove the easy-to-remove links on either and/or both sides. This will shorten and even up the band. Yes it does have the illumination(blue) with the G button!!!

Hello casper312. The answer is yes, and yes. I had to remove two links from mine. Also there are multiple adjustments on the band release bracket. The illumination is the red "G" button at the six o clock position on the outer face. It also has dual mode illumination by pressing and holding the red G button until you hear the chirp. that will change it from manual to auto wrist action illumination, to return to manual, simply press the red "G" button until you hear the chirp, done!
Then you simply press the red "G" button momentarily, and the light will illuminate the dial for approx. two seconds.

Hello bean, I have had this watch for years. the answer is yes. Press and hold the red "G" button at the six o clock position on the outer face until you hear the "chirp". Now your watch is in the manual mode so you just briefly press the red "G" again and you have temp illumination. For auto illumination, press and hold "G" until you hear the chirp again, now it's back in auto mode. Enjoy your Casio MT-G900
I love mine, and after over ten years would only consider replacing with the same watch. Lots of watch for the money.

Yes, you can choose between manual an with wrist movement. I leave mine on manual because sometimes it will illuminate when you move your arm. (wears down the battery faster).

Yes, you press and hold the light button to turn on or off the auto light mode. I personally turned off as I don't use the light that much and thought conserving the battery was more important.

It is automatic if you set the illumination to be automatic. Mine did not come with that feature on. Great watch.

You should go to the Casio website and download the pdf version of the manual so you can read it full-screen on your computer. The manuals that come with these products always use micro-sized fonts. Download the manual for module # 3406. In there, you'll see you can set the illumination to go on manually or via wrist movement. I prefer to manually just push the light button; you can set the light-on time to 1.5 or 3 sec, I believe. I set mine to 3 sec. I find it annoying to have the light always going on whenever I rotate my wrist.

The watch band is adjustable for any wrist. If you examine it closely, you will see that each link has a spring loaded pin--I suggest that you remove one link at a time (alternating sides) until you have a perfect fit. According to the manual--you should be able to place a finger between the band and wrist.

The band is very large and you can count on having to remove links if you have an average to smaller size wrist.

The stainless steel band is sized for an animal - way over size. You must take it to a jeweler to remove links. Most good shops will do that for free. They took 4-5 links out of my band and it fits perfectly. I'm a 180-lb man.

the band is the same size as the standard g shock bands and you can adjust it to the same size by removing the links my wrist is small I had to remove 6 links but it fits great no pinching or moving sits nice I recomend it

You can adjust the band (remove links) by using a precision style screwdriver. You can look up instructions on the Internet. I removed 4 links and reatached the band in about 10-15 minutes.

I bought this watch because I was tired of my diver automatic watch gaining 25 seconds a day. For my work, my time has to be very punctual. It is really nice knowing you set this once with all the auto modes and you will never have to set again. The atomic time sync has worked flawlessly; even sleeping with it on. I chose not to turn on the auto back light to save battery. Also, I wanted a semi-dress watch for work and this was about the only digital model you could purchase with a metal band. The links are very easy to remove. Other reviewers have said this watch is heavy. It feels light to me compared to a stainless diver. About my only complaint is the hourly chime. You have to place it right near your ear to hear it; very faint sounding so I just turned it off. If I could change items on the watch it would be all metal parts, no resin, and make it a vibrating alert instead of the chime. Overall I am well pleased. The site to store option was amazing to order the night before and have it by 11:00 AM the next day. That is great service.
