Product Description
THE ORIGINAL SWISS SPORT WATCH ALPINE SPORTS WATCH MANUFACTURING SINCE 1883 Alpina, famous for its red triangle signature, is an independent, family-owned fine watchmaking manufacture based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1883, Alpina’s watchmaking history spans more than 130 years. A true pioneer of the Swiss watchmaking industry, Alpina has been the source of numerous innovations, patents and calibers. Alpina invented the concept of the sport watch, as we know it today, with the birth of its legendary Alpina 4 in 1938. Faithful to its long tradition of creating mechanical calibers, Alpina produces five in-house movements in its Manufacture: the Tourbillon AL-980, the World Timer AL-718, the Automatic Regulator AL-950, the Small Date Automatic AL-710, and most recently the AL-760 In House Manufacture Direct Flyback Chronograph, a robust movement with only 96 components. Alpina’s mission is to design and engineer luxury sport watches that operate with the greatest precision and reliability possible in the most demanding sporting environments, like the Alps. The 2015 launch of the Alpina Horological Smartwatch follows this mission with its “connected” technology.
The first Swiss Made luxury smartwatch. The connected quantified-self functionalities help you to know yourself better and live healthier. 4+ years battery life, no recharging required. 300ft (100m) water-resistant. Luxury horological finishes. Engraved case-back

Here sits a happy man in Holland
Like I mentioned before, I’ve had this watch for a couple of months now, and when I received it I synced it to the same time as time dot gov, and after two months it is still right on time. Of course, without a second hand it's hard to tell exactly how accurate the Swiss movement is, but I'm happy with the fact that after two months it's still not even a minute off.
Now, this watch is somewhat large, so you’ll want to be absolutely sure to you’re okay with its 45 millimeter (1.77 inch) diameter before you order it. If you’re okay with the size of this watch, I think you’ll absolutely love it. As you can see, this watch’s two dominant colors are black and orange, and I think they look great together. This watch is technically a sport watch, but I think it looks nice/attractive enough even for an evening out.
This watch along with a free smartphone app has basic activity tracker functionality, which is nice I guess, but I don’t really care about any of that. However, I really, really like the fact that it alerts you when you get a text or a phone call. I find this feature to be very useful/helpful.
So, if you’re looking for a well-made sport/diver-style watch that has a bit of added smart watch functionality, this one is an excellent choice. I am nothing but happy with this watch.
If you have any questions about this Alpina watch, please feel free to ask, and I'll do my very best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.
The watch syncs with an app (available for iOs and Android), to track sleep and activity, as well as sending you notifications when you receive a phone call or text. Functions include: Always-on Time, Activity Tracking, Sleep Monitoring, Sleep cycle alarms, Get-Active alerts, Dynamic coaching, Cloud Backup and restore, Mobile notifications.
The battery is stated to last 4 years, but we haven't had it long enough to test the longevity.
This watch is water resistant to 330 feet.
The watch comes in a lovely box that is great for storing it safely when not wearing it.
UPDATE: right after writing the review, I think I jinxed the watch. The crown fell right out of the side for no reason. I'm working with a service center on the West Coast to see about getting it fixed since it is still under warranty.
