We’re only human. That means we can’t help wondering what the celebrities are drinking, whether it’s their favorite morning cup of coffee or a preferred classic cocktail recipe. These are the things that keep us up at night.

Well, we’ve got a bit of a lead. Recently, the stars gathered and enjoyed cocktails made with a well-known spirit. We’re not sure what they were wearing or what they talked about, but we do know top actors like Michael B. Jordan were in the company of some tasty-looking cocktails.

Basil Hayden Whiskey featured recently at a glitzy even in the City of Angels. Bartenders whipped up a handful of drinks, all made to toast some of the biggest stars on the red carpet. The drink was enjoyed by some of the brightest talents on the silver screen.

The following recipe featured at the recent Oscar Nominee’s Night at the famed Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Wanna sip like Teyana Taylor or Leo DiCaprio? Mix up the following drink.

Standing Ovation

This lovely cocktail mixes up a quality rye with pomegranate, lemon, and some sparkling wine.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ parts Basil Hayden Dark Rye
  • ¾ parts pomegranate grenadine (store bought or recipe below)
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Sparkling wine to top

Method:

  1. Combine ingredients except sparkling wine in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake and strain into a stemmed cocktail glass.
  3. Top with sparkling wine.

We suggest going all out and putting on a suit and black tie. Bring a little Hollywood to your home.
