Wine drinkers know Napa Valley. Whiskey enthusiasts know Islay. But coffee drinkers are now beginning to learn the names of individual farmers. Now, coffee roaster Heady Cup Coffee Roasters is introducing premium collector packaging for its Single-Origin collection, highlighting coffees sourced directly from remarkable producers across Columbia, Ethiopia, Honduras, and other celebrated growing regions.
Each unique coffee release tells the story of a specific farm, producer, processing method, and harvest, helping consumers understand coffee through the people who grow it rather than simply the roast level. The goal? For Heady Cup Coffee Roasters, this launch is part of a larger movement toward transparency and terroir within specialty coffee. Exclusives as part of the single-origin coffee collection include several varieties of beans such as:
- Andres Martinez – Caturra Blossom: Flavor chasing requires precision, control, and an obsession with sweetness and clarity. Andrés Martinez, a trained bio-chemical engineer, is a coffee producer who fits that profile. He is never satisfied. Perfection honed from the never-ending tinkering, refining and mastering his techniques. His training as a biochemical engineer is immediately evident in the cup. (Columbia sourced)
- Ethiopian Yirgacheffe – Banko Taratu: This washed Ethiopian coffee from Banko Taratu hits all the high notes. Grown at elevations of up to 2,300 meters in the Gedeb highlands, it bursts with juicy blood orange and soft raspberry notes, finishing clean with refined black tea.

Heady Cup Coffee Roasters has developed relationships with coffee producers who put as much into growing their coffee and their farms as we do in roasting the bean. These are All-Star producers. Known world-wide. “We are just a roaster lucky enough to have cupped their coffee, loved it, and able to build a relationship from there. The cupping table is where decisions are made on who and which producers to feature. The coffee speaks for the producer. If the coffee is fire, the producer has put in years of hard work. We appreciate and respect that. I think they appreciate the delicacy in which we roast and express their coffee. A mutual respect and friendship is built from there. These are our friends now,” says owner Kevin Foglesong.
“There has been a shift away from alcohol based beverages en masse the last few years. Those consumers have to go somewhere. High-end specialty coffee has filled in a huge gap for people seeking craft excellence in a locally produced beverage. Coffee has stood the test of time. The advant garde advancements in processing have really opened up people’s palates. Seeing a coffee mocktail on a menu is no longer a surprise. The palates have spoken. Bespoke coffee is here to stay, ” he shares.
