Fans of well-known, collectible bourbons are always on the lookout for highly coveted bottle releases. They’ll be pretty happy to learn that Buffalo Trace is not only launching one wildly popular expression, but two.
Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. collection: Four Grain and Cured Oak

Buffalo Trace is relaunching two beloved bourbons from the Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. collection: Four Grain and Cured Oak.
E.H. Taylor, Jr. Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey was first launched in 2017. E.H. Taylor, Jr. Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey is a 100-proof, small-batch whiskey that was made with a mash bill of corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. Matured for a minimum of ten years, it’s known for its flavors of sweet corn, soft wheat, caramel, vanilla, and chocolate with a spicy, warm, long finish.
“What makes Four Grain so special is how unconventional it is,” Harlen Wheatley, Master Distiller at Buffalo Trace Distillery, says.
“It’s also a clear example of what we call a ‘graduated experiment’ – one that began as a deliberate exploration and evolved into a release worthy of returning as a permanent expression. Rye and wheat are often used separately, but combining them creates a completely different flavor experience. Alongside corn and malted barley, we’re able to build layers of flavor that balance sweetness, spice, and depth in a way you don’t typically see in bourbon.”
Initially launched in 2015, E.H. Taylor, Jr. Cured Oak Bourbon Whiskey is a 100-proof, Bottled-in-Bond bourbon that was matured for at least a decade in barrels made from air-dried oak staves. This results in a memorable whiskey featuring notes of pipe tobacco, dried fruit, vanilla beans, toffee, and oak. The finish is long, dry, and leaves you craving more.
Where can I buy them?

Both of these expressions are available beginning this month at select whiskey retailers throughout the US for the suggested retail price of $79.99 for a 750ml bottle.
