Colorado-based Breckenridge Distillery has just released their Peach Whiskey, the second flavored expression this year following the recent launch of its Honey Whiskey over the summer.
The whiskey is made using real peaches from Palisade, the Western Slope town Colorado treats as its unofficial peach capital and a genuine point of state pride during late summer harvest season.
It’s bottled at 36% ABV (72 proof) in standard 750ml bottles, available in Colorado retailers and via nationwide home delivery where permitted, with a full national retail rollout planned for fall 2026.
Peach Whiskey is a lighter, more casual release than what Breckenridge is usually known for. The distillery built its real reputation on American Single Malt with Dark Arts, a dark-malt-driven whiskey founder Bryan Nolt has said was the actual reason he started the company. That’s since grown into its own small lineup, including a Scotch-blended offshoot called Two Drams.
That ASM pedigree is part of why a flavored whiskey from Breckenridge carries weight; this is a distillery that’s already proven it can do the serious, technical stuff well before turning its attention to something as approachable as peach.
Breckenridge hasn’t slowed down all year
This is Breckenridge’s second all-new whiskey release in about a month, following its Rye Whiskey launch in early July, on top of the 2026 edition of its Heroes Edition Straight Bourbon dropping around the same time. That’s a genuinely aggressive release cadence for a craft distillery, even one as decorated as this one.
Founded in 2008 at 9,600 feet above sea level, Breckenridge has built its reputation on that elevation angle as much as the whiskey itself, but the honey and now peach releases show a distillery actively trying to build out a real flavored-whiskey lineup instead of just leaning on the “World’s Highest Distillery.”
If you’re already a fan of the category, it’s worth comparing this one against some of the better flavored whiskeys already on shelves — peach is a tougher flavor to nail than something like honey or cinnamon, since it’s easy to end up tasting like candy instead of actual fruit.
