Salehe Bembury is no novice to the footwear world, and their history of collaborations and statement designs is proof of it. While the American footwear designer has already demonstrated his creative force, his latest project is set to take his vision to the next level. SPUNGE, the independent footwear brand founded by Bembury, is embarking on a new journey with the first global retail launch, which has expanded the label worldwide. Arriving at some of the most recognized retailers worldwide without any corporate backing, SPUNGE is a unique label that has earned its status globally. Focusing on the Osmosis silhouette, this global launch tests the waters in locations that span North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. With a community-driven brand and undeniable streetwear style, SPUNGE marks the beginning of a new era in footwear.

Salehe Bembury’s SPUNGE embarks on a global journey

As the first designer-led footwear label to debut across a global network with corporate backing, SPUNGE’s launch marks an essential milestone for designers everywhere looking to make their mark in footwear. In the form of the Osmosis silhouette, new and old favorite color combinations have arrived to mark the momentous occasion. From the debut launch, “Yukon” returns, followed by a new neutral combination named “Shallot.” Other colors like the monochromatic “Feta” and “Orca” round out the latest arrivals. Designed with a sculptural, avant-garde form, the Osmosis silhouette is far from your everyday sneaker, without sacrificing the practical qualities you need. Available via 12 premium retail doors across the globe and SPUNGE’s webstore, the first-ever launch of SPUNGE is finally here.

I was recently in the KREWE store down in the Meatpacking District and discovered that shopping for shades can be more than just scrolling online; it can be an experience unlike other shopping outings. After my experience in the store, I asked KREWE to spread the knowledge for shopping for new shades.

The best sunglasses are the ones you instinctively reach for day after day. But if your current pair is starting to feel a little too familiar, it may be time for an upgrade. – Kate McCabe, Vice President of Brand Marketing, KREWE
