Grailed is The Holy Grail of Designer Marketplaces

According to the English dictionary, grail is a noun that is defined as any greatly desired or sought-after object.

When you think of the term “grail” in a fashion sense, labels and brands such as Raf Simons, Rick Owens, Gucci, and Saint Laurent all come to mind. We put these brands on a pedestal because they reside at the pinnacle of men’s fashion. They’re the brands we covet, hence why they are deemed as a grail in the eyes of the fashion conscious individuals.

Thanks to Grailed, fashion enthusiasts from around the world have an online marketplace they can visit to stock their closets with the designer grails they desire without having to pay the designer price.

It’s similar to that of other online marketplaces like Craigslist or LetGo, but Grailed was created to make great clothing and shoes affordable and available to everyone.

If you’re hunting for a bargain, there are three separate market sections you can browse to find the item your are searching for. Grailed is for high-quality, coveted items that can spread across any genre. Here you will find well-known luxury designer pieces, like the labels listed above, that are in wearable condition. Hype is for new streetwear releases and the latest drops for brands such as Supreme and Yeezy, and Basics is for well-known, mass market brands like Zara and Ralph Lauren, as well as vintage clothing.

Once you find the item you coveted, you can either purchase the item for the listed asking price or make an offer to start negotiations with the seller.

If some items are collecting dust in your closet because you no longer wear them, don’t waste the space – you can sell them on Grailed. If you’re not quite sure what price you should list your item for, you can browse comparable items on the site and price at your discretion. As with any online marketplace, some items do not sell quite as well or quickly as others. With that in mind, you can “bump” your item to the top of Grailed’s homepage feed every seven days, or you can use the “Drop price by 10%” button to move your item to the top at any time. This will allow your item to be viewed as many times as possible and increase it’s likelihood of being seen by someone who is searching for that exact item. Once your item sells, Grailed will notify you and pay you immediately via your PayPal account.

Grailed also has a blog page titled “Dry Clean Only” that you can find in the top left corner of their homepage. Here you will find helpful, recurring articles such as “The Best #GrailFits of the Week”, “Staff Picks”, and “Street Style”. These posts aim to inspire your look with some of the best pieces they have seen on the streets in fashionable cities such as New York, London, and Paris. If you spot a look or particular item you like, they often list those same pieces under each picture if they are currently available to purchase on their site. They are great reads for those that are keeping up with the latest trends and styles in streetwear and men’s fashion.

Before you ever pay retail and markup prices again, check out Grailed first because you’re likely to score a deal on a quality hand-me-down with a designer label.

Why you should be wearing the biggest underwear brand you’ve never heard of
Pair of Thieves is the third biggest underwear brand and they think your balls will love their fabric
Person, Body Part, Finger

I talk a lot about the importance of style. Fit, function, and fashion come together to make your personal appearance a reflection of who you are and who you intend to be. The value of quality over brand names. The importance of good tailoring over fast fashion. Wearing a suit the right way. The best shoes for your look. The way you can send a message without ever opening your mouth. But you know what I don't ever talk about? Skivvies. That's right, I don't talk about underwear. You know why? Because it is something that I (and I reckon you too) just don't think about. But, in ten minutes with David Ehrenberg, CEO of Pair of Thieves, that all changed. I started thinking about underwear. And he convinced me to try his brand, because he was certain that my balls would love it. He was right. But what is it about Pair of Thieves, and underwear in general, that made them skyrocket to the top of an industry most men don't think about?

Our goal isn't to make underwear some aspirational luxury item– it's to make it the best part of getting dressed. That's reflected in our fabric, our fit, and how closely we listen to real customer feedback. We see underwear as part of personal care, and upgrading it should feel easy, accessible, and genuinely worth it. - David Ehrenberg CEO Pair of Thieves
