It’s no secret that Converse has spent the last couple of seasons elevating its footwear options. From collaborating with designers to jumping onto the sneaker-loafer trend, Converse has taken the steps to create some of the most exciting releases in recent seasons. This time, Converse is again taking on their loafers for a new launch that pays homage to their famed Chuck Taylors. In their latest loafers, Converse merges the sophistication of a timeless loafer with the style of their historic sneakers. While a more subdued version of the sneaker-loafer trend than other similar launches, this shoe is truly the best of both styles. This time, Converse is taking on the penny loafer and remixing it for another generation, while still making it the ultimate timeless shoe.

Time to elevate your style with Converse’s loafers

In its new All-Star Coinloafer, Converse takes aspects from its famed sneaker and transforms it into the newest dress shoe your wardrobe needs. In traditional loafer style, the All-Star Coinloafer features a laceless slip-on style with a durable canvas upper. The rubber toe cap and diamond-patterned outsole add subtle pieces from the sneakers, while refined details like the penny slot elevate the look. For this release, Converse is launching the loafer in a Black/White color combination that utilizes color blocking on the tongue, as well as an all-black option. The loafer is available in select Converse retailers, while it is still awaiting an official launch on the Converse webstore. This new hybrid shoe from Converse is the perfect middle ground for any event, made with the timelessness of a loafer and the edge of a sneaker.

I ran 50 miles on roads and trails—how the Craft Nordlite Ultra 2 performed
Is the Craft Nordlite Ultra 2 the only running shoe you need?
Craft Nordlite Ultra 2

When it comes to shoes, runners have almost too many choices. There are daily trainers, speed shoes, trail shoes, plated racers, and more. High-end models start around $150, so building up a “quiver” of footwear requires $300, $450, or more. That can make the simple, refreshing act of running an expensive hobby.

However, some manufacturers produce road-to-trail shoes that can handle both roads and trails, as well as everything in between. One such model is the Craft Nordlite Ultra 2, which features a supercritical midsole and a lugged outsole. I tested it on the roads and trails of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley to answer the question: Is this the only running shoe you need? Read on for my take.

While its design might not seem drastically different from other New Balance sneakers, the 992 silhouette has earned its status as one of the most popular in the brand’s lineup. First released in 2006 to commemorate the brand’s 100th anniversary, the 992 gained notoriety as the go-to sneaker for the late Steve Jobs. As part of his uniform, the 992 became a go-to practical shoe for many. While Steve Jobs was keen on the sneaker’s grey shade, the newest release of the sneaker sets out to give this silhouette a moodier feel. Not straying too far from its traditional look, the latest 992 will feature a darker colorway, making it a perfect option for those seeking a comfortable shoe later in the year.
