The new retail partnership officially rolled out on Friday and includes a dedicated Combatant Gentleman area on the menswear floor of four Bloomingdale’s locations: South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California; SoHo in New York City; Tysons Corner in Washington, DC; and North Michigan in Chicago. The selling areas include a specially selected assortment of suits, outerwear, shirts, accessories such as neckties and the brand’s Toecap shoe line with cool, dressy models that start at just $65.

In addition, these shops-within-a-shop will be the exclusive, temporary sellers of the brand’s new Summit Italy line, a collection of six suits and two blazers that were designed by master suit maker Alberto Caruso, are made in Italy and start at $240. Summit Italy will launch on the Combatant Gentleman site on Friday.

Aside from the ready-made items, the areas also allow customers to order made-to-measure and made-to-order pieces via touchscreens, physical fabric swatch books and the advice of trained tailors. Combatant Gentleman’s creative director and co-founder Vishaal Melwani says that these special order items will take four to six weeks to produce and that he hopes to bring the brand to additional branches of the famous department store in the near future.

Four-year-old Combatant Gentleman also has its own standalone store in Santa Monica – another option for any Internetphobes who nonetheless want great style at a super affordable price.

Steven Kurutz and American Giant endeavor to create a flannel 100% American made
Follow American Giant to bring flannel back to the USA

What makes the flannel shirt something that stays with us here in America? Is it the quintessential garment of the American worker? Does it make us feel as though we are driving horses across the plains in the old American West? How about working the day away, clearing logs from the Pacific Northwest to supply the entire country with the lumber needed to build houses, decks, and shop fronts? Or maybe we don't have to reach back as far to imagine the flannel renaissance of the 1990s bringing us the nostalgia of our childhood imitating Kurt Cobain on stage. Either way, the flannel is a staple of Americana, and American fashion brand American Giant has spent years attempting to bring that garment back home.

What started out as an article in the New York Times blossomed into a half-decade journey for author Steven Kurutz to chronicle AG's desire to bring flannel-making back to the shores of the United States and to save factory jobs in his new book, American Flannel. As a native of a small town in Pennsylvania, Kurutz has watched his town wither away as factory jobs were shipped overseas. For him, the book was more than a story of American determination; it was a personal connection to a quest to save his own hometown and others like it.

Doxa’s Sub 200T watch is a new, smaller version of the Classic 300 design
Doxa introduces smaller version of Sub 300
Doxa Sub 200T series

Doxa watches aren't exactly the word on the tip of anyone's tongue when they think of their favorite brands; however, they have developed their own community, and some might dub them a cult following. The brand recently unveiled its latest Doxa watch, the Sub 200T which has sent a lightning strike through the hearts of fans, as it's unmistakably more compact than the iconic 300T and 600T models. The lack of smaller options has always been a common complaint among fans of the brand, and with consumer behavior veering more and more in this direction, it's no surprise that the latest iteration is just 39mm. The iconic design of the Classic 300 has been shrunk down to something more compact, sleek, and contemporary.
The new Doxa Sub 200T has a color for every taste

On top of that, the kaleidoscope of color options available from Doxa watches will surely satisfy every taste, from those who like bright and sporty models to those who prefer something a little more classic and subdued. The dial features a sunray-finished design with a luminous sunburst effect, and it comes with two strap options: a stainless steel bracelet with a "beads of rice" design and an FKM rubber strap that comes with folding clasps and ratcheting wetsuit extensions.
