Amped! Apolis Market Bag Now Customizable

One of our favorite feel good brands, Apolis, is now offering its’ fans the capability to customize the popular Market Bag.

The Market Bag was previously introduced as part of the City Series Collection, which showcased over 50 notable cities from around the world. Over the past four years,  Apolis has added new cities  upon consumer request, creating a high demand for select locations. Apolis has since expanded the collection to over 221 cities, with over 121,049 market bags produced to date.

In response to that demand, the lifestyle brand has now launched the Customizable Market Bag, which allows consumers to tailor  one of the brand’s best-selling items for the purpose of gifting or personalization. Co-founder Shea Parton explained that, “Over the past four years, it’s been so rewarding to see how people love to celebrate their neighborhood with our City Market Bags.  Every time we added a new neighborhood, city, or country to the roster, people responded.  We will continue to support our favorite retailers to sell the bag locally, but we thought it is only fair that we offer a customizable Market Bag program that will allow everyone to proudly represent their roots–whatever they are.”

Priced at $68, each bag is handmade in Bangladesh from sustainable natural jute fiber with a waterproof inner lining and natural vegetable-tanned leather straps reinforced with antique nickel rivets. Create your own custom Market Bag by entering up to three lines of text to be hand–printed on one of their bags. As co-founder Raan Parton told us, “The best part is that these re-usable bags have provided a Fair Trade wage, job security and benefits for the all-women co-op in Bangladesh that handcrafts each market bag and have kept an untold amount of single use bags out of landfills.”

Turn back time with the new Santos
Cartier Rewind on wrist

Wristwatches may be distinctly masculine pieces of hardware now, thanks to some very popular people in pop culture and in our own history adopting them. British super spy James Bond, movie stars, and athletes are the people we look up to who wear watches that catch our eye. Soldiers, cops, firefighters, and first responders wear watches they trust to ensure they can save lives. Pilots and divers created an entire industry around watches specifically designed for their vocations. And the very first pilot's watch was none other than a Cartier watch.

Alberto Santos-Dumont was a pioneer in the flight world and was one of the first people on Earth to achieve air travel. He was a competitor of the Wright Brothers, and, depending on the source, he preceded them in flight. In any case, the French celebrity went to Louis Cartier, another pioneer of his craft, and procured a square timekeeper meant for the wrist. The Cartier Santos Dumont was born. Over a century later, Cartier attended Watches and Wonders and presented the newest in the line of Santos watches, one that reverses time.
