What’s the difference between a sport coat and a blazer?

Asked by Ian Bell

I hear both terms being used frequently. Do they mean the same thing or are they different?

If you look more to the origin of Sport Coat, often tweed coat, to be worn for hunting. Made out of a softer, yet sturdy fabric for movement, and with flap pockets. Whilst a Blazer, usually a solid color, usually navy with gold, or a rare silver, button, has a patch pocket.
