CRN Launches the First Superyacht with a Floating Garage

We bet you like boats. And we are pretty sure you love a well built garage. Well how about a boat with a garage in it. Yeppers – you heard us right. Welcome to your new super yacht.

CRN or ‘Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali’ is based in Italy and has been crafting luxury motor yachts for 50 years (the anniversary is this year).  The J’Ade is their newest baby coming in at 197 feet with four decks, helipad, spa pool, Turkish bath and a gym. Then there is the ‘floodable garage’ created by the CRN Shipyard. Operated hydraulically, the garage can dry out in three minutes flat and is lit by underwater lights because of course your garage needs to be under lit  if it’s part of your super yacht. Luckily, the garage is   multi-functional (more bang for your buck!) and it can convert into a swimming pool or a beach club with the addition of a platform (that your crew would install of course). But when you do really need to use it as a garage, it handily fits a 26 foot Iseo by the classic boating company, Riva. No need for a tender with this yacht, just putter out to Portofino at your leisure.

J’Ade has room for 10 lucky guests and 13 crew members and features a dining room table for 14, oval bathtub by Boffi, master suite balcony and an audio/video entertainment system that can be controlled with your iPad. Believe it or not, the yacht shown has actually already been purchased (we wish we knew by whom because we would Tweet the hell out of them), but you can custom order your own and work with CRN on creating your own piece of sea magic at a price of around 40 million Euros.

For all you engine geeks out there, the yacht has two V12 engines that make just over 2000 horsepower allowing it to reach top speeds of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.  This makes Trans-Atlantic journeys a breeze, cuz you know private jets are so nouveau.
