What to Wear: Farmers’ Market

What-to-wear-farmers-market

Autumn is here and we can’t help but be excited about all that wonderful fall produce that’s available at the local farmers’ market. In the West Coast, we’ve seen persimmons everywhere, especially in restaurants and we’re excited to go get some this weekend to incorporate into a salad for our Sunday dinner. Back home in the East Coast, we’ve been seeing apples, quince, mushrooms, and tons of squash. Thanksgiving is coming around the corner and we’re trying to figure out ways to put all this produce into our dinner.

Now we know that most of you probably don’t put much thought into your outfits for your weekend trips to your local green market, but let us tell you, there are some pretty good looking people at our local green market in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, so we think that there should be some effort into your jaunt to get all those wonderful fresh organic fruits and vegetables. First thing is first, and you must bring a stylish bag to put everything in. We suggest the Apolis + Context Madison Market Bag. Next, you’ll need some comfortable, yet stylish sneakers, like the navy New Balance 1400s pictured above. The rest is up to you and it all depends on where you live, but pants, a cardigan and a t-shirt are a solid bet.

Now go off and pick up some produce that’s good for your body and look good while doing it.
